As the school holidays come to an end and those of us who have been lucky enough to enjoy a holiday get back into work, there is a real sense of excitement about the months ahead. The next quarter is a busy one with several new initiatives to help us focus on programme objectives. Specifically these arise from the Barking and Dagenham Partnership which includes all public and voluntary bodies in the borough. The Partnership has agreed a new list of targets with central Government. These targets and priorities cover a three year period and areas such as employment, health, education, crime and business and provide a very clear steer for all of us as to where our energies should be targeted. Over the coming months Barking & Dagenham Enterprise will be aligning our strategy to reflect the new targets and working with other partners to maximise the benefit. We will keep you up to date through our website and in the press.
