The morning after!

Oh what a night the 2008 Barking & Dagenham Business Awards turned out to be. The businesses were the clear stars, everyone of those who entered must have held their breath as Sandi Toksvig ran through the finalists in each of the categories. The winners were surprised and excited and in their acceptance speeches they spoke so generously of those who had helped them along the way to success. At times it was quite moving.

So now its my turn to say a big thank you to the BDE team for their hard work both before and on the night. To Bean & Co for their hard work and calm and efficient methods, to the Chief Executive of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham for having faith in Barking & Dagenham Enterprise and finally but with great appreciation, to the Barking & Dagenham Enterprise Board, the Sponsors and the Chair Chris Oliver for his inspiration and energy.

I look forward to doing it all again in 2009, see you there
