Space for Enterprise

A central part of the Barking & Dagenham Enterprise programme under the Government’s Local Enterprise Growth Initiative Scheme is the building of two Business Centres, (one for Barking and one for Dagenham), which will offer managed space for start-ups and expanding small businesses. Development begins in 2008 for completion in 2010.

Dagenham Dock is 330 acres of space for enterprise, on the banks of the Thames, with working deep-water riverside wharves and superb road access to the A13. This is a major regeneration site, where an infrastructure upgrade is accompanied by the establishment of a creative industries quarter as well as a sustainable industrial park for modern environmental industries.
