East London Business Place
East London Business Place helps local East London small to medium enterprises access contract opportunities and be in a more competitive position to win business in the Thames Gateway.
It provides a free face-to-face support service which sources and matches local suppliers to the purchasing needs of buyers across all industry sectors. Its focus is to work with small to medium enterprises and major buyers to facilitate contract and procurement opportunities in the Thames Gateway.

Retail Partnership Support Project
We are working with retailers at shopping parades across the borough to establish local retail forums. The forums offer the opportunity to discuss and address key issues and concerns, with the aim of promoting the shopping parades.

Business Loan Fund
There are a comprehensive range of loan funds in the borough, including one that allows small initial borrowings by new as well as existing businesses in the borough unable to secure bank finance. This initial borrowing can be increased to a limit of £10,000 as the business expands.

The Ripple Centre
To support new organisations and social entrepreneurs the centre offers modern desk space that can be rented out on a flexible basis. The space includes a computer with all the latest software, a dedicated phone line, photocopying and printing facilities.
