The board of Barking & Dagenham Enterprise (BDE) is independent, local and business-minded. The chairman, Chris Oliver, is a leading local businessman, assisted by two vice-chairmen, Tim Heath, Chief Executive of the East London Small Business Centre and Ian Short, Deputy Chief Executive of the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation.

Board members from local business, education, community groups and other agencies give of themselves, their organisations, their time and resources freely and passionately.
