Barking & Dagenham Enterprise has a private sector-led board whose chairman is Simon Green, President of Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce and General Manager of Vicarage Fields Shopping Centre in Barking.

Paul Bishop

Enterprise Champion

Paul is BDE’s Enterprise Champion, a role in which he directs efforts towards creating an enterprise culture throughout Barking & Dagenham. Paul works closely with local community groups, supports all BDE projects, and is leading in the promotion of Barking & Dagenham’s Business Awards.

Karthik Durgaprasad

Business Relationship Manager

Karthik works closely with established enterprises in Barking & Dagenham, providing them with access to a wide range of free specialist advice. Karthik operate through an extensive network of public and private sector organisations, make referrals, and provide information on business issues to help BDE and partners shape future services.

Mamta Patel

Programme Manager

Mamta sets up and maintains programme management and monitoring systems, and regularly reports to the BDE Board on performance. She works closely with the business support and business centres capital projects, and ensures that links are made with the projects and that their activities fit the overall strategy for BDE.
